Where to begin? Norm and I have set the date. No, not for a wedding, that was a long time ago! We are both going to retire on June 18th, 2010 and are planning on heading off on our journey of a life time some time late in July.
We will be leaving family and friends for a 12 month drive holiday in the US and Canada. We have been talking about this for so long and finally we are able to say, "This year..." rather than, "In 2010... " or "Next year...". It is going to be amazing!
We are making our plans now and in preparation for the trip I have started this blog. The idea is that eventually we will document our adventures abroad.
Right now we are trying to think of all the things that we will need to plan and do before we can go. It would be good if it was just like planning a trip like our last one to the US but because we will be gone for so long there is so much more to consider.
I have begun by starting a shopping list for when we buy the 5th wheeler. It will have to be all decked out, so Wal-mart look out, I will have a long list for when we pick up the 5th wheel.
